S.A.M.I. is built to plug into the surfaces you already use — the editor, the filesystem, git, the terminal — with external services connected only when you choose.
How you write and edit code with the council watching.
Built on a VS Code-compatible core. Syntax highlighting, multi-cursor, refactoring, debug panel, and your existing keybindings work out of the box.
Highlight code, press the chord, and a focused single-shot edit lands in-place with a diff preview before you accept.
How the council reads and acts on your project safely.
Reads branches, diffs, commit history, and `.git/HEAD` so the council understands the current state of your repository before suggesting changes.
Read, write, edit, list, and open files in your workspace. Every write asks for approval at autonomy level 1; level 2 only asks before destructive operations.
Run commands in a terminal pane the council can observe. Output is captured and folded back into the next stage, so failed builds become inputs to the next reasoning step.
Add `@web https://…` in the prompt to fetch and ground the answer in a live URL. Private and credential URLs are rejected by the SSRF guard.
Beyond the keyboard — voice and image.
Press-and-hold to dictate. Audio is transcribed via the managed STT endpoint — never stored, never used for training.
Drop a screenshot or paste an image directly into the prompt; the council ingests it through whichever vision-capable model you have selected.

Optional admin-controlled connections for teams and enterprise.
Admin-controlled connection for approved external assistants. Access is explicit, scoped, audited, and managed by administrators — available on Team, Ultra, and Enterprise plans.
